RICH FISHER'S WNAV-AM EXPERIENCE

WNAV-AM is a Full-Service Adult Contemporary radio station (owned by Pat Sajak) that covers Southern Maryland, The Eastern Shore, Baltimore, and its main area is the Annapolis metro area. WNAV's music format is "Singer Songwriter", meaning that they play a lot of folk leaning music, modern folk rock, and some mainstream music. It's not uncommon to hear a local artist, Steve Winwood, Belle & Sabastian, and a top 40 song all in the same set. WNAV also airs Navy Football, Washington Redskins Football, Washington Wizards Basketball, and Baltimore Orioles Baseball Games. WNAV prides itself on being very local. "Your Home Town Station" is their slogan. During my shift it is not uncommon to have four remote call-ins an hour, plus live traffic, and listener call-ins. I worked weekends at WNAV from 1998-2002, and I currently do fill-ins when needed and I run the stations website - WNAV.com. WNAV is a very busy station, time goes by very fast here!
